28-Hour Day – Day 6

I had a but of a Sunday lie-in today. I am still experiencing a knock-on effect from staying up far to late on Friday. This is only because there is no requirement to reduce my sleep in order to get back onto my scheduled times. I did manage to get back on track by the end of the day.

I found that during the first couple of days it took quite a lot of effort to stretch my day out to 28 hours, but I think it would take even more effort to reduce my working day to less than 24 hours. That’s an experiment for another time perhaps but the point is that it makes it harder to get back on schedule if you have one extremely long day – I couldn’t just reduce the next day to make up for it. I mean, I suppose I could have but the thing that would have disappeared would be sleep, because I find it hard to drift off when I am not sleepy.

By day 6, however, I was back into the same routine as day zero. Bed time is 0400! That’s the time I need to go, and the time I actually go. Win. So that’s an entire week of almost 28 hour days. Perhaps I can do it properly next week.
